1. Household-based screening for individuals aged 14 years and above was conducted for distress and seven disorders (psychosis, epilepsy, depression, intellectual disability, self-harm & suicide risk, alcohol use disorder, and dementia), covering 7,27,197 people across 13 blocks in Nagpur Rural.
2. Household screening distress outcomes: Mild – 8%, Moderate – 5%, and Severe – 5%.
3. The program has reached 10,581 unique service users seen in OPD services so far.
4. Under this program, a total of 96,161 patients received consultations, and 11,475 clinics were conducted.
5. As part of the program, community engagement was carried out through the implementation of the Mental Health Literacy Program at Gram Panchayat and village levels. A total of 12 modules were delivered across 523 Gram Panchayats.
6. Under this program, capacity-building in mental health was conducted for Public Health Department staff across multiple cadres. A total of 1,724 ASHA workers were trained as per the prescribed modules. In addition, 306 paramedical staff, 178 Medical Officers, 187 Community Health Officers, and 26 Emergency Services Medical Officers participated in the training programmes, strengthening mental health service delivery at community and facility levels.
7. A total of 36 training manuals, protocols, IEC materials, and tools were developed to support community engagement and mental health literacy.
